Specialist Notes:


The Goal Setting for 2026 has launched. This year, there have been a few changes to the process:

  • Goal Setting has been assigned as a task to all USTA National Staff.
  • To locate an assigned goal, have users click the 'Performance Tasks' button on the homepage, which takes them directly to their 'Performance Task Summary'.


Note: There are a few adjustments that can cause some confusion. When accessing the goals through the hamburger menu, it takes them to the create a goal page (not their assigned goals). When clicking the 'Goal' button on the performance home page, this will redirect the user to 'Performance Task Summary'. 

  • A minimum of two goals must be created.
  • Users have been asked to use Google Gem (Google’s AI) for assistance with drafting the SMART Goals.

Answer
Why am I not able to update my Goal progress?Kindly reach out to your Manager, as goal progression will not be available until the Manager approves the Goal.
My Supervisor/Manager has not received notification about my Goals.Kindly note that there isn't an automated email that goes out from LeadershipLab by default. You would need to click the 'Send Approval Request' button in order to send the manager an email.

  • If the user has a question regarding a specific step, kindly access this guide to attempt to assist the user before escalating.

  • Should a user need assistance with Google Gem, please collect as much information about their inquiry as possible and escalate it to the Administrators.

  • If you're assisting a Manager, please refer to the Goal Approval (Manager) SR instead.

  • Ensure you switch the user to the ‘USTA Leadership Lab (Performance)’ group/room if you have not already, as this SR is related to performance.
